Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch a new Maruti Baleno Cross coupe SUV. It was recently spotted ahead of its launch. The 2023 Maruti Suzuki B-Cross (Baleno Cross) is codenamed YTB. It is said to be based on the Futuro-e concept car. The subcompact SUV is expected to be launched at the Auto Expo 2023. However, several details have already emerged. As you can see in the YouTube video above, the Maruti Baleno SUV (YTB) comes with a sporty look. You can see stylish headlamp setup with LED DRLs on the bonnet. There is also a headlight cluster on the bumper below. You also get a massive front grille with chrome dots and stylish alloy wheels. There is also a sporty bumper with a skid plate and prominent wheel arches. The rendered car looks almost similar to this spied version. Overall, it features a crossover/coupe SUV silhouette.
In terms of specs, the Maruti Baleno SUV (YTB) is likely to be powered by a Boosterjet turbo petrol engine with a hybrid option. The Maruti Baleno SUV (YTB) is expected to be launched in February next year. It will be positioned above the Baleno in the Indian market. The crossover SUV will join the company’s SUV lineup alongside the Brezza compact SUV and the upcoming Grand Vitara mid-size SUV. Currently, the on-road prices of the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno start from Rs. 7,29,917 and go up to Rs. 10.86,307 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is powered by a 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder K-Series petrol engine that offers 88 horsepower and 113 Nm of peak torque. For transmission, the company is offering 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual options. Additional features on the car include an idle stop-start system, front disc brakes, LED projector headlamps, LED fog lamps, LED tail lamps, stylish alloy wheels, a heads-up display, cruise control, auto-dimming IRVMS, auto-folding ORVM, rear AC vents, automatic climate control, adjustable driver’s seat, and steering mounted audio controls.
