The complete variant wise feature list along with the list of all the upgrades of the Maruti Baleno facelift has been leaked online.
Maruti Suzuki is soon going to introduce a mid-life facelift for the Baleno. Bookings for the same are currently underway across all Maruti Suzuki Nexa dealerships at a token amount of INR 11,000. Being a facelift, it becomes quite obvious that the car is going to feature minor cosmetic updates along with a few revision to its equipment list.

Recently leaked information shed more light on the exact upgrades that the Baleno is going to get with this mid-life facelift. Major alterations will include a completely redesigned front bumper. Top-spec Alpha trim is now going to get new machine cut alloy wheels. LED projector headlamps will become standard across all variant save for the base Sigma variant.
Furthermore, the front grille is going to get an all-new layout. On the inside, the SmartPlay infotainment system is going to get a new layout while the seat upholstery is going to get a new black and blue stitching. In addition to this, the controls for the air-con control module feature new ornamentations.

Maruti Suzuki has decided to not only include but also delete some of the features currently available in the Baleno’s entire variant range and make them exclusive to just the top-spec trim. For instance, UV cut glass and leather-wrapped steering wheel which were earlier available on the Delta variant onwards will feature just on the Alpha trim.
The engine specifications of the Maruti Baleno facelift will remain the same as before. The petrol derivative is going to get a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder unit capable of churning out 82 BHP of power along with 114 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine will be a 1.5-litre unit good for 74 BHP along with 190 Nm of peak torque.

As standard, both the derivatives are going to get a 5-speed manual gearbox. And just as before, the petrol is also going to get the option of a CVT automatic unit as well. Contrary to recent speculations, we do not believe that Maruti is going to introduce its new 1.5-litre, the in-house developed diesel engine in the Baleno. The same will remain exclusive to the Vitara Brezza, Ertiga and the Ciaz upon its introduction.
