Maruti Suzuki is prepping yet another new model for our market that will be based on the Baleno but will be a logical successor to the S-Cross
The SUV-ish version of the Maruti Baleno, which is internally called the YTB, was recently spotted doing road tests on the outskirts of Gurgaon. The indication to reveal it as soon as the Auto Expo 2023 is clear. We might see the actual vehicle on our roads by February 2023. For now, there are some new details that could be deduced from the spy shots. The YTB is aimed at offering the consumers yet another alternative in sub-Rs 10 lakh segment. However, the crossover will be positioned closer to the Brezza than the Grand Vitara. Here is everything we know about the Baleno-based model so far.

Maruti Baleno Crossover (Codename – YTB) Spotted
The crossover SUV was spotted while performing tests on the roads. As seen from the image, the exterior is wrapped in a thick camouflage but the silhouette is apparent. The size of the Baleno Cross would resemble that of the S-Cross that it will replace. The front fascia might feature the design philosophy that we saw on the recently-revealed Grand Vitara. This means that the LED DRLs will be positioned on the bonnet while the main headlamp cluster will be placed on the bumper. There could be skid plates and a sporty bumper to make it look appealing. The rear features a roof-mounted spoiler and a shark fin antenna.
