A Grand Jimny has emerged in the virtual realm with a demeanour inspired by the Toyota Land Cruiser. The latter is one of the most successful luxury off-roaders on the planet. In fact, it has been around for decades in many international markets. Generally, you would find the Land Cruiser in the garage of influential personalities including politicians, movie stars and sports persons. On the other hand, Suzuki Jimny is one of the most popular lightweight mass-market off-roading SUVs in the world. Even it boasts a rich legacy spanning over 5 decades. Toyota Land Cruiser-Inspired Grand Jimny
The details of this case emerge from malvinwsetiawan on Instagram. I find the visuals to be very convincing of the fact that this is an actual Toyota Land Cruiser. The front fascia bears the colossal grille with horizontal chrome bars which define the character of the SUV. The sleek LED headlamps neatly flank the grille and hold bold LED DRLs. The lower section of the SUV contains a rugged skid plate and a sporty bumper. There is also a compact LED fog lamp housing on the side with a chrome insert. All in all, the front section looks extremely butch and commanding, barely giving away the details of the donor model.
This image even lends a glimpse of the side profile. It possesses chrome surrounds around the window frame, black side pillars, faux roof rails, sturdy side steps to enhance the ingress and egress characteristics of the SUV, prominent squarish wheel arches, stylish alloy wheels and an upright stance. I find myself struggling to spot a single area which reveals that this might not be the real Land Cruiser but a Maruti Jimny. There is just a Suzuki logo on the front grille.

Digital artists have a knack for creating unthinkable iterations of everyday cars. This is a prime example where the artist combined two SUVs from two completely different market segments. Land Cruiser is a premium off-roading SUV, whereas the Jimny is for the masses. In all fairness, this Grand Jimny mostly bears just the Suzuki logo but the rest of the SUV is all Toyota Land Cruiser. I shall keep an eye out for more such cases in times to come.
