Maruti Suzuki India has introduced new special edition MS Dhoni inspired models of the Alto 800 and Alto K10. These new variants are a part of its association with the Indian cricketer’s upcoming biopic – “MS Dhoni – The Untold Story”. The new special edition MS Dhone edition Alto features body decals and interior updates. Along with that, buyers also get a merchandise kit that takes inspiration from MS Dhoni. Maruti is offering the special edition package at a premium of Rs. 16,777 on the LXi trim of the Alto 800 and Rs. 12,777 on the LXi and VXi trims of the Alto K10. This price premium includes all the additional equipment and features that com with the Alto MS Dhoni Special Editions.

As expected, the specifications remain unchanged. The Alto 800 comes with a 796 cc petrol engine that makes 48 bhp and 69 Nm. While the Alto K10 gets a 998 cc engine that makes 67 bhp and 90 Nm. Both models come with a 5-speed manual transmission. Additionally, the Alto K10 can be had with a 5-speed AMT unit as well. However, we’re not sure of the MS Dhoni special edition upgrades is on offer with the that particular variant or not.

As is the case with specifications, the mileage figures also remain the same. Both cars are one of the most fuel efficient in their respective segments. These are ARAI certified fuel mileage figures. Real world fuel efficiency might vary.
Maruti Alto MS Dhoni Special Edition Exterior, Interior Design Review
On the outside, the special edition Altos feature new body decals on the side with the movie logo. Other than that the exteriors do not witness any changes. On the inside, the special edition comes with a choice of two colour interior combinations – Black+Silver and Red+Blue. Along with that the cabin features MS Dhoni seat covers, ambient lighting, carbon colour interior styling kit and much more. Alto 800 LXi models get a single DIN audio system that supports MP3, USB, AUX. These new features help set the special edition apart from the standard car.

The Maruti Alto has constantly been one of the highest selling models in India. It has already crossed the 30 lakh sales milestone in India since its launch in September 2000.
