In this latest video, I came across a Maruti Alto-based mini pickup truck. It is just fascinating to witness how the Alto assumes the role of just about any other body type. It is among the highest-selling automobiles in the country. The demand for the Alto, particularly for first-time buyers, is still at an all-time high. Its decent engine, basic features, low maintenance costs and high mileage are some reasons for its massive success and popularity. In fact, in remote parts of the country, people even convert it into something truly different. This is the latest example of that. Here are the details.

Maruti Alto-Based Mini Pickup Truck
This video comes from sanscari_sumit on Instagram. The visuals capture rather astonishing content. A man is driving on the highway when he spots this anomaly. He discovers a Maruti Alto in front of him on the highway. However, it has a unique silhouette and body type. The rear section of the compact hatchback has been converted into a cargo compartment of a pickup truck. The rear seating compartment has been converted into a cargo bed and the roof has been chopped off. Now, this Alto is a two-seater with a luggage area just like a proper mini pickup truck.

Interestingly, the overall appearance doesn’t look out of the ordinary. That is the most incredible part of this modification. The front, side and rear sections retain their natural appeal. In fact, the rear section keeps the same set of taillamps, bumper and boot lid, but the latter has been cut in half and the roof is gone. This has to be one of the most unique but impressive modifications I have seen of the Alto. In fact, the host also mentions that Alto can turn into anything its owners want. He says that people use it for off-roading in the mountains and now it is being used as a pickup truck.

We admire the passion of those looking to add a personal touch to their vehicles for a unique look. Nevertheless, it’s essential to recognize that the majority of car modifications are not permitted in India. Consequently, we strongly discourage our viewers and readers from undertaking extensive and elaborate modifications. If you have a desire for some customizations, we suggest consulting your local Regional Transport Office (RTO) in advance. If the proposed modifications comply with the law, you can officially record them in your vehicle’s registration certificate. This approach ensures legal compliance and helps prevent any potential issues with law enforcement.
