Mahindra Xylo Mini which is currently under road test and doing most of its rounds in the internet was expected in the Auto Expo 2012, but the catch was it was not showcased. The whole idea behind this Xylo mini project by Mahindra and Mahindra is to create a compact SUV of less than 4 meter, which now currently dominated by the Premier Rio.
The Mahindra Xylo mini is expected to be offered in two engine variants, a petrol which could be a 1.2L and a 1.5L diesel engine both of which fall under the small car classifications as per the Indian rules. The car is expected to have the same 7 seater layout as the previous Xylo and design features have improved but still has the Mahindra Xylo Lamps up in the front and spy pictures show that the rear glass is a Fiat Panda inspired one.

Currently doing road-test everywhere India, Mahindra is very ambitious in capturing the Indian market and the world market indeed, because the Mahindra Xylo mini was caught testing in Northern Europe in the cold weather. This suggests Mahindra might have plans for export too in the near future. The launch of the car is much awaited, since it has created a big hype after Mahindra’s success with the Mahindra XUV500 and the new Mahindra Xylo 2012 New Model to be launched on 8th of Feb 2012 in India.
