Mahindra and Mahindra is one of the most popular compact SUV sellers in India under Rs. 10 Lakh budget. There are hardly any quality products available in this segment to compete with the popular SUVs like Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra Xylo etc. In addition to the existing successful products, the upcoming Mahindra Xylo Mini SUV or MPV will make even stronger hold of Mahindra in this segment. The trial production of the Xylo mini has already started and testing has been going on for quite some time now. Its is expected that the new car will be shorter in length and may feature a smaller CRDI Diesel engine for better fuel economy.

The price tag of the new Xylo compact may be close to Rs. 5 Lakhs for the base model. The price of the Xylo will make it an attractive buy for the entry level buyers. Also at the price of a compact sedan, Xylo Mini will prove to be a robust and sturdy mini SUV or Crossover like feel in the compact form factor which is slightly larger than a hatchback. Mahindra Xylo Mini may mark the beginning of a new segment of cars which is a blend of an MPV with character of and SUV with the compactness of a Hatchback.
