Guide for Such Conditions
While one should ideally not attempt to travel to such extreme locations just for leisure, there are some things to keep in mind should you decide to. These include:
- Before you attempt to embark on such a journey, it is best to get winter tyres for maximum traction to glide over snow and ice.
- High-speed driving should be avoided at all costs since the surface could be slippery due to ice which might be invisible to the naked eye from afar.
- You must keep checking the fluids of the car like windshield wiper fluid and anti-freeze.
- Just to be safe, you should ideally switch the engine ON and keep it like that for some time before commencing the trip every morning.
- You could even try lowering the tyre pressure so that the maximum tyre surface grips the road.
- Remove all extra gadgets which could potentially drain the battery overnight.

Author’s Note
It goes without saying that embarking on extremely adventurous excursions with these SUVs is not advisable. Successfully navigating through challenging weather conditions demands both physical and driving skills. Hence, it is recommended to explore such locations under the guidance of a seasoned professional. Prior to attempting such feats, it is crucial to seek advice from knowledgeable individuals, as circumstances in mountainous terrains can take a turn for the worse within minutes.
