A new set of spy images have revealed the exterior of the Mahindra XUV700 in totality. As seen in these pictures, the Mahindra XUV700 looks a lot like the XUV500, especially if you look at the front and side profile. It gets a similar grille and hood, while the greenhouse looks almost the same. The D-pillar has black cladding for a premium feel but at a quick glance, the new model looks a lot like the XUV500. The front-end has different LED headlamps though, which, however, might not be of everyone’s taste. The rear has some glimpses of the XUV500 but still manage to have a unique identity. Also, the rear spoiler is bigger on the XUV700 than on the XUV500. The interior is yet to be completely revealed but spy images have earlier shown the Mercedes-like twin-screen layout. Mahindra has also teased several best in segment features like auto headlamp booster, air purifier, smart door handles, etc.
The Mahindra XUV700 is not only the most awaited SUV of this year but also the most spied upcoming car of recent times. The new model will be positioned above the XUV500 and will go on to take on the likes of the Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus. So far, it has been believed that the new model would make its debut on this Independence Day, a la latest Mahindra Thar, which was revealed last August 15. Now, however, a TEAMBHP forum member who seems to have insider-info on this says the SUV will instead release on October 2.
