Arguably, one of the most awaited SUV launches in the country is the 7-seat XUV700. Reportedly, it will come with the most powerful engines that will make it more potent than even the new Tata Safari. It is also expected to come loaded with plenty of segment-best and segment-first features which has, sort of, become the trademark of Mahindra with its modern products. Also, Mahindra is on track to expand its SUV portfolio significantly over the next couple of years. The other products lined up for launch during that timeline include the likes of Scorpio, XUV500 (Creta Rival), XUV900 (Coupe SUV), Bolero, TUV300 (likely to be named Bolero Neo), 5-Door Thar and XUV300 Sportz. So, the Mahindra fans must brace themselves for complete domination of the brand with SUVs across various segments in our market. Let us take a look, in detail, at what to expect from the upcoming 7-seat Mahindra XUV700.

Design
The XUV700 will be a long and massive 7-seater offering from Mahindra which implies a bold road presence. The design elements will be modern and bold ensuring that it looks like the SUV of the segment that it belongs to. According to a few spy shots, it is clear that the headlamps unit of the XUV700 will be a large C-shaped LED cluster. The spy shots also reveal that the dimensions of the Mahindra XUV700 are more or less similar to the XUV500 but being based on a completely new platform it might well be larger in overall dimensions than the current-gen XUV500. The new platform will also allow the XUV700 to have off-roading capabilities with a 4×4 drive system. The exteriors have been heavily camouflaged but some highlights can be deduced from the spy images. This includes dual-tone alloy wheels, large overhangs signifying the size of the SUV, chrome beltline running across the lower end of the window line, rear spoiler and top mount stop lamp with a rear wiper and shark fin antenna. The front end is not visible in the spy shots but we expect a bold look as is the case with all the other SUVs from Mahindra’s design house.
