Maruti has been on a product offensive strategy for a while now and its Fronx crossover is the latest entrant in our market.
A Mahindra XUV700 owner sells his SUV after just 3 months of ownership and buys the Maruti Fronx instead. XUV700 is among the most in-demand and desirable SUVs in the country. Its long waiting periods are a testament to its popularity. On the other hand, the Fronx is the latest Maruti product in India. Based on the Baleno, it is a slightly larger vehicle with a crossover silhouette that accentuates the sportiness and ruggedness. But this video captures an interaction of the XUV700 owner who decided to sell his SUV and buy the Fronx.

XUV700 Owner Buys Fronx
The video has been uploaded by Daksh Agnihotri on YouTube. It captures a conversation between the YouTuber and the Fronx owner. Talking to him about his new purchase, he reveals that he owned the Mahindra XUV700 just for 3 months before he decided to sell it. However, there was no issue with the SUV. It is just that he found it too large for Delhi traffic which is understandable since it is a colossal SUV. He says that he used to get stuck in traffic jams when the smaller cars used to get out easily.

After having sold that XUV700, he was massively impressed by the Fronx. To put common misconception to rest, he confirms that it doesn’t look like the Baleno at all. There are distinct elements in it that are much more premium than any vehicle at this price point. He opted for the Delta variant which he considers great value for money. The exterior is sharply designed and the interior has the latest tech and convenience features for the utmost comfort of the passengers. He frequently travels to the mountains.

As a result, he says that the ground clearance and driving dynamics of the Fronx are quite impressive. He bought the automatic version which enhances convenience in the city traffic. However, there is a slight downside to it which becomes apparent in the mountains. On steep slopes, the gearbox is quite jerky which could make the passengers uncomfortable. But that is an inherent trait of AMT gearboxes. Apart from that, he feels that this is the best car at this price. He spent around Rs 10.50 lakh, on-road on this car.
