Launched in October 2021, the Mahindra XUV700 has been a runaway success with a huge demand that extends all the way to October 2023. More than a lakh units of this SUV have already been booked and the car maker is pretty much struggling to make timely deliveries. There are many reasons for the success of the new flagship – It looks good, has a feature-laden cabin, powerful engines, various segment-firsts and even a 5-star score from the Global NCAP. Mahindra XUV700’s Scariest Accident Yet
A recently uploaded video shows visuals from what can be termed as the most horrifying accident of the Mahindra XUV700. The video has been put together using some pictures shared by the owner himself. As per him, the accident took place in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The owner says that he was returning him from his office with a friend in the passenger seat. A truck overtook him dangerously from the wrong side and suddenly applied brake. In panic, even he had to apply brakes but doing so led to the loss of control and the SUV banged into the truck. It’s not known why the truck had suddenly come to a halt as the driver fled the spot as soon as the SUV crashed into the heavy commercial vehicle.
As can be seen in the video above, the SUV has sustained some major damage in this accident. The entire front-end of the vehicle has been reduced to some mangled remains while the intensity of the impact was such that even the roof and the A-pillars have got damaged. The driver and his friend sustained some injuries in the accident and were hospitalized. Thankfully, they have been quick to recover. Looking at the wreckage, it’s clear that the SUV hit the truck at a pretty high speed. In fact, this has to be the most horrifying crash of the XUV700 we’ve seen so far. We’re happy that the SUV protected the occupants the best it could and they’ve survived this mishap.
