A Mahindra XUV700 owner is in distress after allegedly facing the engine oil leakage issue 3 times before completing 20,000 km. XUV700 is the flagship SUV in the portfolio of the India auto giant. It has had massive demand from customers ever since its launch. This is due to the fact that it gets a lot of segment-first features and some other functions which belong to a vehicle from a segment above. Hence, the customers are drawn to the premium quotient of the SUV. Nevertheless, there are a few owners who are not having the best time in terms of the ownership experience. Here are the details of this latest case.

Mahindra XUV700 Engine Oil Leakage
The details of this issue have been shared by the owner on the Mahindra XUV700 Club India page on Facebook. A certain Shishir Dhar claims that this is the third time he had to bring his SUV to the service station. He seems to be struggling with the engine oil leakage issue time and again. The service mechanics have already changed the gas kit and oil seals after opening the engine assembly. But the issue still persists. It appears that they are trying the trial and error method and are not sure about the exact cause of this problem.

The owner also claims that they are simply dragging the issue so that the warranty period gets over. Thereafter, they will charge him an exorbitant amount of money for the repairs. He is asking fellow XUV700 owners for appropriate suggestions. He even mentions the name of the dealership. It is Mahindra A Automovers in Lucknow. Not to mention, it is quite disheartening to see the owner of such an expensive car struggle to get a basic issue fixed with his car. It is understandable that he must be quite irritated.

What We Think
We understand just how annoying it would be for the owner if their car has to spend so much time in the service centre for minute issues. What is even more shocking is the fact that no one is able to pinpoint the exact reason for the problem. At least, when the issue is said to have been resolved, it shouldn’t occur again. That is what makes people lose confidence. Having said that, we only know one side of this story. Maybe there is more to this than meets the eye. Hence, we would refrain from passing on a judgment. We can only hope that Mahindra looks into it and fixes the problem at the earliest.
