This post comes from autojournal_india on Instagram. It captures the SUV wearing heavy camouflage. In fact, the testing is being done on a proper highway with lots of traffic around. Specs
There won’t be any changes to the powertrain options. It would still carry a robust 2.0-litre turbo petrol direct injection mStallion engine, which delivers an impressive 200 PS and 380 Nm of power and torque, and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine, available in two different power configurations – 155 PS / 360 Nm and 185 PS / 420 Nm (450 Nm with the automatic transmission). You can pair these engines with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. Moreover, the highest trim levels offer an AWD version and have advanced ADAS features. The pricing for the XUV700 spans from Rs 14.03 lakh to Rs 26.57 lakh, ex-showroom. Anticipatedly, the AX9L variant could cost approximately one lakh more, which would translate to an on-road price of over Rs 30 lakh.

What We Think
The Mahindra XUV700 is already one of the most feature-packed vehicles in its category. Nevertheless, there could be prospective buyers who might be missing out on some luxury features still. That’s where the AX9 and AX9L variants come into play, offering a compelling option for those seeking cutting-edge connectivity and tech features in their vehicles and aren’t constrained by a tight budget. Speaking of budgets, it’s intriguing to determine the premium that Mahindra will charge for the already pricey AX7 and AX7L trims.
