Adding to this Mahindra and Mahindra is said to be experimenting with a voice command system for the XUV 500. Since this is not the first time that Mahindra and Mahindra has shown its interest on the voice command system, the system was first seen in the Scorpio which used to tell the driver to strap on the seatbelts and close the door. Later on much more developments were made on the Xylo E9 variant which could be used to switch on and off the vipers, control the music system and even the headlamps. The voice command feature was so user friendly and functional that it could detect Indian accent of communicating with the car.
Currently there is no voice command feature in the XUV 500, Mahindra and Mahindra is all set to add this missed out feature by October this year. Although there is no word from Mahindra and Mahindra, sources speculate that there could be an automatic transmission on the offering and suggest that the voice command system could be featured in the higher end variants of the XUV500.
