The Mahindra XUV400 is the electric iteration of the former XUV300 which already boasted a full 5-star safety rating at the Global NCAP
The Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV has been tested at the Bharat NCAP to reveal an impressive 5-star rating. XUV400 is the larger electric counterpart of the pre-facelift XUV300. Due to the tax relaxations for electric vehicles above 4m in length, Mahindra elongated the former XUV300 to create its electric avatar. Now even though the XUV300 has been updated to XUV 3XO, the XUV400 is yet to receive that alteration. As a result, Bharat NCAP tested the Mahindra XUV400 in its current avatar only. Let us glance at the detailed report here.

My View
Safety ratings is an integral part of car buying process in this modern age. People have become safety conscious. That is where these NCAP safety ratings play an imperative role. We know that Tata Motors and Mahindra have taken things to the next level with almost every product from these two displaying a full 5-star safety rating. With the latest results, we have seen the XUV 3XO, the new Thar Roxx and the XUV400 boasting this rating. Similarly, SUVs from Tata Motors also mostly bear the same rating. Clearly, the future of the Indian automobile market is in safe hands.
