A couple of Mahindra XUV400 owners have claimed to face range-related issues with their electric SUV. Note that XUV400 is the electric version of the XUV300. It has a slightly longer length and boot compartment than the latter. That is the main attraction of the XUV400 apart from its electric powertrain. But a couple of owners from two corners of the country have shared the troubles they are facing by owning an EV. Carmakers often come up with EV versions of existing models to be able to price the car competitively. The XUV400 is the perfect example of that. Let us take a look at the details of this latest case.

Mahindra XUV400 Owner Shares Issues with Electric SUV
This post comes from Prateek Singh on YouTube. This channel features content around road safety and similar content related to automobiles. On this occasion, a disappointing case has emerged from two separate places in India. As per the information in the video, an XUV400 owner in South India claims that he is not getting enough range from his EV. He says that he chose the Indian brand over the foreign carmakers and spent over Rs 21 lakh.

Additionally, he also mentions that he has problems with the home charger and the cost of charging at a public place. Overall, he is not satisfied with the electric SUV. Similarly, another XUV400 owner expresses these concerns from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. He has parked his electric SUV in front of the Mahindra dealership in protest. There are banners all over the SUV on which the owner lists out his complaints. He is also not satisfied with the leadership staff for some reason. But that reason is not mentioned in this video. All in all, both these EV owners are clearly not happy with the ownership experience so far.

Specs
The Mahindra XUV400 features strong 39.4 kWh and 34.5 kWh batteries that are protected from water and dust. These batteries power the electric motor, creating a decent 150 hp and 310 Nm of peak power and torque. This motor makes the EV accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a quick 8.3 seconds. The highest speed it can go is 150 km/h, which is quite useful. On a full charge, it can go up to 456 km under perfect conditions with the large battery and 375 with the smaller unit. Using a 50 kW DC fast charger, you can charge it from 10% to 80% in only 50 minutes. The cost varies from Rs 15.99 lakh to Rs 19.39 lakh, ex-showroom. We hope that Mahindra looks into the matter and provides a solution at the earliest.
