Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Launch Soon
There have been many spy shots of the SUV so far. Some of them have come from the high-altitude testing in the Himalayas. This is a common practice a lot of carmakers follow, especially prior to launching an SUV. Many car owners take their SUVs to these regions even if these cars don’t possess any particular off-roading capability. In one such case, the SUV was spotted in Leh recently. As is the case with every test mule, it was wearing a heavy camouflage. Still, the overall silhouette is evident.

Specs
Under the bonnet, the XUV300 will most likely remain identical to the existing model. It would get the familiar 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine in two states of tune – 110 hp / 200 Nm and 130 hp / 230 Nm of peak power and torque. There is also a 1.5-litre diesel engine making 115 hp and 300 Nm of peak power and torque. There are options of a 6-speed manual or an AMT gearbox with both these engines. It would interesting to see if Mahindra replaces this AMT unit with a torque converter automatic. Currently, the prices range between Rs 7.99 lakh and Rs 14.76 lakh, ex-showroom. The facelift will command a slight premium over these. The debut is expected by the end of this year.
