Specs
Beneath the hood, it’s likely that the XUV300 will retain its current powertrain configuration. It will feature the well-known 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine available in two variants – one producing 110 hp and 200 Nm of power and torque, and the other delivering 130 hp and 230 Nm. Additionally, there’s a 1.5-litre diesel engine churning out 115 hp and 300 Nm. Both these engine options will come with a choice of a 6-speed manual transmission or an AMT gearbox. It will be interesting to see whether Mahindra decides to replace this AMT with a torque converter automatic. Presently, the XUV300 is priced between Rs 7.99 lakh and Rs 14.76 lakh, ex-showroom. The facelift will bear a slight premium over these prices.
