Other than featuring an updated infotainment system, the Mahindra XUV300 will likely get an XUV700-inspired front fascia for enhanced aesthetics
Mahindra has been testing the mid-life facelift for the XUV300. While the launch is not imminent and is anticipated to occur in 2024, the test mules have already been seen on multiple occasions. In fact, we have even obtained a visual of the updated touchscreen infotainment unit. Despite being heavily camouflaged, the seen test mule suggests significant design updates for the front and rear. Expect notable changes to the interior, while the mechanical aspects are likely to remain mostly untouched.

What to expect from the Mahindra XUV300 facelift:
- XUV700-like front fascia
- Retention of existing petrol and diesel engines
- Launch in 2024
The temporary headlamps and tail-lamps on the test mules suggest that the SUV is still in nascent testing stages. However, in all likelihood, the facelift will take the aesthetics of the Tata Nexon-rival closer to those of the XUV700. In fact, the new model may even borrow some styling cues from the XUV.e concepts. Overall, these updates could result in a completely revamped fascia. The rear-end of the XUV300 facelift will likely feature a new boot-lid, a new bumper and revised LED tail-lamps. The profile will remain largely unchanged, except for the introduction of new alloy wheel designs. The XUV300 could even receive a revised colour palette with new paint options.
Clear pictures of the interior are not available yet but there are high chances of the SUV getting a redesigned dashboard. A higher equipment level is also a given. The latest sighting even gives us a sneak peek at the bigger infotainment screen. Features such as a wireless charger, ventilated seats, and a digital driver’s display, which are missing on the current XUV300, could be on offer on the mid-life refresh.

Under the hood, the XUV300 will likely retain its existing 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. That said, it remains to be seen whether Mahindra will replace the AMT with a torque converter option. The launch of the Mahindra XUV300 facelift should happen sometime next year. It will continue to compete with the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, and the likes. It’s worth noting that the Tata Nexon and Kia Sonet are also set to receive their mid-life updates by August this year.
