All this combine to give a wholesome product which is not easy to fault. The only concern seems to be an exceptionally small boot for a car of this segment. That hampers the practicality a bit. Mahindra XUV300 AutoShift – Engine, Transmission and Price
With the introduction the automatic transmission with both, petrol and diesel powertrains, the XUV300 becomes one of the few products in the segment to do so. This adds to the appeal of the XUV300 to have the option of choosing between different powertrains as well as different transmission options. The XUV300 comes with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine making 110hp and 200Nm and the 1.5-litre diesel which makes 115hp and 300Nm. Both these engines now come mated to either a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox. Also worth mentioning here is that the new Sportz variant of the XUV300 is due for launch very soon. This variant will come with a more powerful turbo petrol engine with direct injection technology. Also, knowing the sensibilities and preferences of young Indian buyers, Mahindra is offering the Electric Sunroof starting from the mid-trim W6 onwards. The AutoShift W6 variant with sunroof starts at a cool Rs 9.95 lakh, ex-showroom.
