Mahindra is planning to introduce an AMT gearbox in the Marazzo as well and the spotted Mahindra XUV300 AMT could be with the 1.5L, diesel engine from the Marazzo.
Mahindra had already announced at the launch of XUV300 in February, this year, that the SUV would also be offered with an AMT gearbox some time later in the year. Finally, the Mahindra XUV300 has been spotted testing in Gurgaon with the AMT gearbox.
The car was heavily camouflaged and even the badging was not visible. However, one can tell by the profile of the car that its an XUV300 and the next variant due in the XUV300 range is the AMT. Hence, it is safe to assume that the spotted car was the XUV300 AMT.
However, what is not certain is whether the spotted car with the AMT gearbox had a petrol engine or a diesel unit. That said, Mahindra is also planning to introduce an AMT gearbox in the Marazzo which is powered by a diesel engine. The XUV300 is also powered by the same 1.5L diesel engine and so the spotted car could very well be the diesel XUV300.

Mahindra had recently announced that the XUV300 has recieved over 26,000 bookings in just two months after its launch in February. That also makes the XUV300 the second best selling compact SUV in the segment. With the addition of the automatic gearbox, the sales of the XUV300 are expected to boost further as the demand for automatics have been rising and all other cars in the segment too come with an automatic gearbox.
