The Mahindra XUV.e8 is currently in the works. Now, its design patent and launch details have been leaked online.
The Mahindra XUV.e8 is an electric version of the popular XUV700 SUV. A prototype version of the car was showcased last year. Mahindra is currently working on multiple EVs, including electric versions of its popular models. It has already launched the Mahindra XUV400. While the company has not revealed the new range of Born Electric SUVs, several details have already surfaced online. This includes the design patent and launch details of Mahindra XUV.e8. Mahindra XUV.e8 Launch Likely in 2024-end
As you can see in the above image, the production version of Mahindra XUV.e8 looks similar to the concept EV showcased last year. However, it gets a different paint job. The new EV features a new front fascia with a futuristic design and a completely closed front grille. It gets an LED bar that runs along the width of the car. The LED DRL goes vertically down to the bumper. The new car also gets new projector LED headlights. The lights are vertically stacked. You can also see a bronze-finished Mahindra logo.
Overall, the front bumper features a clean look. There are bronze highlights around the headlamp area and below the skid plates. On the side, the Mahindra XUV.e8 looks similar to the Mahindra XUV700. It also features flush-fitting door handles. The upcoming EV will be backed by an 80 kWh battery. It will be available with an AWD system. The electric motor is said to offer 230 Ps – 350 Ps of power. The company is expected to bring the new EV to the market by the end of 2024.

The Mahindra XUV.e8 is based on a new born-electric INGLO skateboard platform. Mahindra has specifically designed this platform for its upcoming electric vehicles. In terms of dimensions, the new EV measures 4,740mm x 1,900mm x 1,760mm (length x width x height). It will come with a wheelbase of 2,762mm. In comparison to the XUV700, the Mahindra XUV.e8 is 45mm longer, 10mm wider, and 5mm taller. Mahindra is also working on XUV.e9 and BE.05 electric SUVs. It also plans to launch the 5-door Thar next year.
