We have the official prices of the BS6 compliant Mahindra XUV500. The SUV is now available in four variants with a price hike of Rs 30,000.
A couple of weeks ago, Mahindra listed the BS6 XUV500 on its official website. Recently, they started the online bookings of the updated SUV for a price of Rs 5,000. Now, we have gotten our hands on the prices of BS6 XUV500. It now starts at Rs 13.20 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
XUV500 is now available only in four variants including W5, W7, W9 and W11. The prices now commence at Rs 13.20 Lakhs going up to Rs 17.70 Lakhs (ex-showroom). Compared to the BS4 version, the starting price has been hiked by nearly Rs 90,000. The base-spec W3 variant has now been discontinued. Also, there’s no AWD and Automatic variants on offer now.

The AWD configuration was equipped with the top-spec W11 (O) variant. The AT variants came with the W7, W9 and W11 variants. BS6 XUV500 comes with the same 2.2 Litre four-cylinder turbo diesel engine that produces 153 BHP @ 3,750 rpm and 360 Nm @ 1,750-2,800 rpm. It now comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard fitment.
XUV500 comes with features such as electric sunroof, Tyre-pressure monitoring system, electric adjustment for driver seat, 17-inch alloy wheels, projector headlamps, ESP with rollover mitigation, Hill Hold and Descent Control, Hill Hold and Descent Control, Rain Sensing Wipers, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Six Airbags And Rear Parking Camera.
Mahindra is currently developing the next generation XUV500 with a new platform, new engines and more features. Instead of a bulbous silhouette, the new gen XUV500 will take a boxy SUV styling. It will new 2.0 Litre petrol and diesel engines with new transmission options. Mostly, Mahindra is going to launch the SUV by early 2021.

Meanwhile, Mahindra has also opened the bookings for BS6 Scorpio for a token of Rs 5,000. The new generation Scorpio is expected to debut by the end of this year. The first one from the new gen models will be the Thar which is scheduled to debut in a couple of months.
