Mahindra has unveiled the XUV300 EV at the Auto Expo 2020 in a concept version. The Electric SUV will be launched by the second half of 2021.
This year, Mahindra is all about electric vehicles. After successfully launching the KUV 100 EV, Mahindra has unveiled the XUV 300 EV as well. The electric SUV has been unveiled in a concept form, with its production version coming in later by the second half of 2021.
Technical specifications about the XUV300 EV will be revealed later, near the launch period. It will be the fifth electric SUV in India, after the recently launched KUV. And, Mahindra XUV300 EV already has a prime competitor in the form of Tata Nexon EV.
Reports suggest that XUV300 will get a 40 kWh battery which will produce 130 BHP and up to 250 Nm of peak torque. However, Mahindra earlier revealed that the EV will offer a driving range of 300 kilometres.
The overall styling of the EV is identical to the ICE-powered version. The former gets an EV-spec front grille, no air vents, different alloy wheels and is showcased in this White colour with Blue inserts over the body.
Inside the cabin, there is a refreshed touchscreen infotainment with the almost similar centre console. You can also spot the twin-pod analogue speedometer with a large MID, showing battery range, charge, status and other information.
Mahindra is expected to offer the XUV 300 EV at aggressive pricing. In comparison, the Nexon EV is priced from Rs 13.99 Lakhs up to Rs 15.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom). To match up with that, we are expecting E XUV300 to come at a similar price.
Along with this, Mahindra has also unveiled the Funster EV concept. It is a pure electric convertible two-door car. To note, it is just a show car concept and would not be launched.
