Mahindra has been showing off its new-age electric SUVs which use the INGLO platform and are designed for global markets
In this latest post, a Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6 were spotted in a parking lot alongside the XUV700. Note that the latter is the existing flagship ICE model from Mahindra that is on sale. On the other hand, the XEV 9e and BE 6 represent the future of the brand. Mahindra has done a fabulous job of creating world-class products under two new banners for EVs – XEV and BE. At present, the XEV 9e and BE 6 have been launched with many more to follow. For now, let us take a look at the details here.
Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6 Parked Alongside XUV700
This video comes from Kumar Adarsh on YouTube. The host is at a parking space where three SUVs are present – XEV 9e, BE 6 and XUV700. It looks like the official Mahindra dealership staff is showcasing the remote capabilities of the BE 6. He has the key fob in his hands and he is summoning the BE 6 to drive and park itself. That is a cool feature which will help users to pull out their vehicles in tight parking spaces. The XEV 9e is seen right next to the XUV700. The host mentions that the size of the two vehicles is almost similar even though the silhouette and body type are completely different.
Both these electric coupe SUVs bear the latest tech and convenience amenities to pamper the customers. In fact, the interior features top-notch materials and a substantial usage of AI and computing power to, essentially, turn the car into moving gadgets. The case with the specifications (battery, performance, range), etc., is also similar. Moreover, these two EVs are among the safest cars in the country as per Bharat NCAP ratings. I must admit, the XEV 9e and BE 6 are some of the most impressive products overall. They combine tech, convenience, safety and performance so well.
My View
Mahindra is certainly upping its game with the new breed of INGLO-based electric SUVs. It is evidently focused on the future which is why its upcoming range contains a slew of new-age EVs. Yet another model that is about to launch soon is the XEV 7e. It is the electric iteration of the XUV700. I shall keep an eye out for more details in this regard.
