Is It Going To Have A Diesel Engine?
Yes, of course! Mahindra is believed to be working on an all-new 1.6-litre diesel engine. Part of the automaker’s mFalcon series, this unit is expected to churn out 125 BHP of power along with 305 Nm of peak torque. Mahindra is likely to use this engine in another vehicle as well. Transmission duties are likely to be carried out by a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. In addition to this, there will be an automatic gearbox in the line-up as well.

What About A Petrol Engine?
Well, as times change and with the tightening of regulations around diesel power plants, in all likeliness, Mahindra is going to include a petrol engine in the U321’s model line-up in India. Though not confirmed, it is likely that this gasoline engine is going to be a 1.5-litre unit capable of producing 120 BHP along with 200 Nm of peak torque. Just like the diesel engine, this is also going to have 6-speed manual gearbox as standard across the range. While top-spec trims will also get an automatic unit.

It Is Going To Be Feature Loaded?
Yes! At least we expect it to be. Likely to fall in the price segment of INR 12 Lakh to 18 lakh, the Mahindra U321 MPV will come with an impressive feature list.
