A latest case surfaces where a Mahindra Thar struggles at a river crossing. Thar is the most popular off-roader in the country. In its current generation, the sales are through the roof. In fact, people face close to a year of waiting periods for some models in some cities. The original Thar has been around for years now. Off-roading enthusiasts prefer it over any other SUV. The main reason is the fact that there are no worthy rivals. But things have changed with the arrival of the latest Maruti Jimny in 5-door guise. Nevertheless, the demand for the Thar remains high. Here are the details of this latest incident.

Mahindra Thar at River Crossing
The video comes from tharreleted on Instagram. It captures a horrifying event where a Thar is in a river. But it is not an accident. The owner intentionally drives it with the aim of crossing the river and emerging on the other side. This could be a part of some off-roading excursion. However, due to the depth and flow of water, the SUV is stuck. In fact, the water is pushing the SUV in all directions. Things could easily turn ugly in minutes. Thankfully, there is another Thar which is about to tow it out of the water.

What We Think
We understand that people buy Thar to perform some hardcore off-roading activities. However, we must ensure that we don’t cross the line. Even though the Thar is designed for such challenges, we have to draw a line somewhere. Off-roading adventures don’t mean that we should risk our safety. Due to such careless behaviour, we already lose thousands of lives on the road each year. It is high time we start taking such things seriously. Finally, we urge our readers to never try such extreme stunts even if you have a capable SUV like the Thar.
