At the launch on August 15, the prices of only the 4×2 variants of the Mahindra Thar Roxx were announced.
The prices of the Mahindra Thar Roxx were told to us at the launch event. Meanwhile, we’re yet to know the prices of the 4×4 model. Earlier, it came to light that the off-roading hardware won’t be restricted just to top-spec trim. And now, we’ve discovered that it will be available MX5 onwards. Thar Roxx is the 5-door iteration of the regular Thar. It was launched on August 15. The Indian auto giant introduced the Thar Roxx to address the shortcomings of the regular Thar. This included things like a short wheelbase preventing the rear doors and an extremely small boot space. With the extended Thar Roxx, the second-row doors have been added and the boot capacity has been increased significantly. In addition, Mahindra is even offering mechanical, features and specs improvements.
Mahindra Thar Roxx MX5, AX5L and AX7L to Offer 4×4 Option
Navigating through the Mahindra website, it is possible to get a variant-wise price list of the Thar Roxx. However, the tabs showcase that the first trim to get a 4×4 drivetrain will be the MX5. Therefore, it becomes clear that MX1, MX3 and AX3L variants won’t be available with this technology. Now, the price of the diesel manual MX5 trim is Rs 16.99 lakh, ex-showroom. Hence, a premium of around Rs 1.5 lakh – Rs 2 lakh is warranted. As a result, you can expect the ex-showroom price of the base 4×4 model to be in the vicinity of Rs 18.50 lakh – Rs 19 lakh. This will take the on-road price to well over Rs 22 lakh. Also, it may be noted here that the MX5 4×4 will be available only with a manual transmission while AX5L will be available only with automatic. The top-spec AX7L will be available with both manual and automatic transmissions. Here is a list of all 4×4 variants on offer –

AX5L 4×4 | Automatic Transmission |
AX7L 4×4 | Manual Transmission |
