The importance of safety in modern vehicles can’t be underestimated. As car buyers, you must always take the safety ratings of the cars into consideration.
This is a video that shows a Mahindra Thar that rams into a truck at about 100 km/h. Thar has been handed a 4-star safety rating at the Global NCAP. Being a lifestyle off-roader, it is quite an impressive rating. That, along with a modern cabin and effective off-roading capabilities has made sure that the waiting time for the Thar extends to over 10 months in some cities. This time around, Nikhil Rana has captured this video where the visuals show how severe the accident of this Thar with a truck is. Here are the details of the incident.

According to some reports of this crash, the Thar was travelling at 100 km/h when the truck in the front applied sudden brakes. The driver of the Thar had no time to react and the SUV crashed into the back of the truck with quite some force. There were two people in the Thar. The images lead us to believe that no one could survive this crash. However, miraculously, the passenger escaped unhurt and the driver sustained a minor cut on his head. He got 5-6 stitches and he was able to walk easily. Just to be on the safer side, he was doing some general tests to ensure that no internal injury was there. But the build quality of the SUV has to be credited for the survival of passengers in this crash. The purpose of such videos is to raise awareness about buying a safer car and also make people realize the consequences of following traffic rules and driving safely.
