What Does Vodka Do?
Alcohol has a lower freezing point than water. Water freezes at 0 degree Celsius. However, in the Himalayan regions, temperatures go well below 0 for a large part of the winter season. Going by the number plate of this Thar, it belongs to Jammu and Kashmir. Therefore, fluid is needed that doesn’t freeze in minus temperatures. That is where adding vodka to the water in the wiper fluid comes into the picture. It ensures that the entire wiper fluid stays in a liquid state regardless of how low the temperatures get.
