Here is a bizarre tug of war competition between a Mahindra Thar and Maruti Jimny with a Mahindra tractor. Tug of war is a common technique used by popular vloggers to test the performances of new cars. However, on this occasion, they take things to the next level. Jimmy is a prominent lightweight off-roading machine. It is available in a 5-door version in India for the first time in its history. On the other hand, Mahindra Thar is the most successful off-roader in our country since its inception. Let us take a look at how well these two SUVs perform against a mighty Mahindra 275 DI tractor.

Maruti Jimny and Mahindra Thar vs Tractor Tug of War
This video comes from Vlogger Dhira on YouTube. It captures a unique visual. The YouTuber has selected an isolated location for this test. He ties the Jimny with the tractor from the rear for the first round. He puts the Jimny and tractor in 4-low mode. At the count of three, the tractor pulls the Jimny forcefully. This was expected by everyone. The result remained the same in the next round too. Then came the Mahindra Thar. Interestingly, it was able to sustain the pressure from the tractor and stood its ground. Neither the tractor nor the Thar was able to move the other. However, the weight of the vehicles was the reason for this result. In isolation, both SUVs are mighty capable off-roading machines.

What We Think
Nowadays, YouTubers often use tug of war challenges to compare how well two vehicles perform. However, this method might not be very helpful because these competitions can cause lasting harm to cars. Normally, cars aren’t used this way, with intense acceleration in a straight line. So, it is not a good idea to try these kinds of tests with your own car due to safety worries and the potential for harm to the car’s mechanics. We suggest that you don’t take part in these types of stunts. Tug of war contests don’t show the whole picture since regular driving hardly ever involves such aggressive moves. It is better to focus on keeping you and your car safe and making sure your car stays in good shape for the long term.
