It will represent the future of mobility from the perspective of the Indian auto giant. Moreover, there’s a possibility of a pickup truck idea influenced by the Scorpio N model. Both the Thar and Scorpio N are the most well-liked vehicles in the Indian auto company’s present portfolio. However, in the future, the focus will be on electric options. Ever since this news came out, the digital automobile artists have been busy creating their own iterations of the upcoming concept EV. These latest images come from autojournal_india on Instagram. They showcase various aspects of the possible production-spec model. Obviously, the concept will be shown at the event. But digital artists are using their imagination and creativity to design something enticing. In one of these renditions, the Thar retains the existing silhouette but has distinct exterior bling to highlight its electric credentials.

This includes an LED strip on the front grille merging into round LED headlamps and LED lighting in a vertical orientation on the fenders. There is also a sturdy skid plate and bumper at the front. Most other elements remain almost identical. But that is what automakers generally do when they want to convert an ICE car into an EV. There are hardly any drastic changes to the aesthetics. That is not necssarily a bad thing since the Thar looks butch and mean in its existing demeanour.

The Thar EV might have four motors instead of the usual two motors seen in many electric SUVs with all-wheel drive. Additionally, there are whispers suggesting it might also come with advanced abilities like crab steering, which allows sideways movement. Car enthusiasts might recognize these features from the Hummer EV. These features enable the SUV to spin around in a U-turn or a complete 360-degree rotation right in the same spot. Mahindra might also decide whether to build the electric Thar using the current ladder-frame chassis, utilize a single-piece chassis, or build the Thar EV concept on the INGLO platform, which is a dedicated platform for electric vehicles.
