While it may seem like an outrageous idea at first, this video breaks down the special milestones and compartmentalizes the journey into small steps. For this, the Thar owner first exported the SUV from India to Dubai. From there on, the plan is to cover all the major countries in the Middle East and then move to Africa. World Tour in Mahindra Thar
The most interesting fact about this trip is that the YouTubers wanted to take the Made in India Thar on this journey. That is why the registration plate reads Kerala. They shipped the SUV from Cochin port to Dubai. For this journey, the Thar will have its own passport which costs a whopping Rs 1.78 lakh. The security deposit for the passport is Rs 1 lakh. This passport has stamps from the port of origin, which is Cochin in Kerala to all the countries it will travel to. Then, there is a stamp of Dubai, where the car was received. The duo has recently visited Oman and the stamp is there on the Thar’s passport. In addition to the shipping charges, the car needs valid insurance documents too.

For the air clearance to land in Dubai, it costs Rs 1 lakh. Once in Dubai, the car does need to bear any more shipping charges. It is a one-time payment at the port of origin (Cochin). Now, the duo plans to explore the Middle East and move to Africa. The steering wheel on its Thar is on the right side because it is manufactured in India. However, most Middle-Eastern countries have it on the left side. To tackle that, the YouTubers have got the necessary clearances from various departments. The duo plans to complete the trip in 1 year and capture their experience through their vlogs on YouTube.

In order to make this trip budget-friendly, they have transformed the rear seats into folding beds which they will use to sleep in. They are self-sponsoring this trip which is why they can’t splurge too much. The bed folds almost flat and with the AC, they are planning to sleep inside. The body paint of the Thar represents the flags of all the nations they planned to drive through along with the Indian flag. The total expenditure for this trip is expected to be around Rs 20 lakh. The dedication they have to complete a world tour in their Mahindra Thar is commendable and inspirational.
