The Mahindra XUV300 facelift will be called the XUV 3XO. The spy images of the test mule have been going around on the internet for a long time now. However, this is the first time the Indian carmaker has officially released a teaser of the compact SUV. The XUV300 has been fairly successful in our market. The segment to which it belongs is extremely competitive with products like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza and Tata Nexon. Hence, to make a mark on the sales charts is extremely challenging. Still, with its feature-rich cabin, top-notch safety and powerful engines, the XUV300 has stood its own. For now, let us take a look at the details of the upcoming facelift.
Mahindra Teases XUV 3XO (XUV300 Facelift)
This video comes from Mahindra XUV 3XO on YouTube. There are a few glimpses of what the model will look like in the flesh. At the front, it will get a redesigned front grille with a unique design pattern finished in chrome, new LED headlamps, new LED DRLs, a sporty demeanour, etc. On the sides, there will be striking new alloy wheels. However, the most fascinating aspect is the tail section. It now bears a full-width LED light bar across the boot lid which connects the C-shaped LED taillamps to offer a modern appearance. Apart from that, there will be a sporty bumper and rear wiper.
Specs
Since this will be a facelift model, we don’t expect any mechanical changes. Therefore, it will most likely carry the same 1.2-litre turbo petrol direct injection engine which generates 130 hp and 230 Nm of peak power and torque. Also, there could also be the 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine with 110 hp and 200 Nm of peak power and torque output. Additionally, it will also continue to get the 1.5-litre turbo diesel mill which makes 115 hp and 300 Nm of peak power and torque. The transmission duties are carried out by either a 6-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. We expect all these specs with the facelift model too.
