Mahindra Stinger Convertible SUV is on display at Auto Expo 2018
As some of you might be aware, Mahindra and Mahindra has just taken the veils off its new convertible SUV concept at the Auto Expo 2018. The new Mahindra Stinger Convertible SUV is based on the TUV300 platform and is a rather interesting design study. As you can see, the Stinger looks almost nothing like the rather boxy TUV300. On the contrary, it looks sufficiently macho and has a slight sportiness in its design.

The Stinger concept is based on the TUV300. Hence, it boasts a ladder-on-frame construction. It may be noted here that the company previously displayed the XUV Aero concept at the last expo. However, M&M is yet to confirm if it plans to push the rather interesting design study to production. Similarly, it remains to be seen if the Mahindra Stinger Convertible SUV would ever make it to the production lines. Other than the new concept, Mahindra will also showcase the U321 MPV and the new Rexton (XUV700) SUV at the Auto Expo 2018.
From the looks of it, the Convertible SUV Concept, much like its donor vehicle, will measure less four metres in length. Hence, safely expect the car to benefit from a relaxation in taxes in case it ever makes it to production. There are good chances that the Stinger will get an updated version of the TUV’s 1.5-litre mHawk turbocharged Diesel engine. The upgraded motor will develop a maximum power of 101 hp along with a peak torque of 240 Nm.
