The Buddh International Circuit has been already inspected and received a go signal from Mr. Whiting who was here as the safety delegate. From the infrastructure to the safety measures, all have been approved 2 months prior to the event’s inauguration.
The latest buzz about Formula One says that Mahindra & Mahindra has made an announcement on its association with Buddh International Circuit. As a part of the same Mahindra will provide 25 intervention and support vehicles over the next five years and the car who will take this privilege is our popular Mahindra Scorpio.

Not just for the Formula One but for all other motorsport events, Mahindra will provide this fleet of Scorpios. Of these 25 vehicles 10 will be Scorpio VLX (4 wheel drive) and 15 Scorpio Getaway 4WD. In return BIC will support Mahindra’s very popular ‘Adventure Initiative’ throughout the venture span.
We all know how rugged and reliable Mahindra Scorpio is and its continuous performances on the city roads as well as challenging rally terrains have made this car the ultimate choice in the SUV segment. Coming to the specifications of the two models that will be seen at the upcoming motorsport events, the Scorpio VLX is equipped with a 2.2 Litre mHawk engine delivering 120 BHP of max power and max torque of 290 Nm @ 1800-2800 RPM. The more styled Scorpio Getaway sports a 2.6 Litre CRDI diesel engine churning out 115 BHP @ 3800 RPM and 283 Nm @ 1700-2200 RPM.
