This hill climb challenge between Mahindra Scorpio N and Toyota Fortuner is quite impressive. Scorpio is a name that has been among the most popular SUVs in the market for years. In its latest iteration, Mahindra has ensured that the interior is modern along with the latest tech in addition to the off-roading prowess and hardware. On the other hand, the Fortuner has been the most successful 7-seat off-roading SUV in our market for ages. It will be interesting to assess their domination during a hill climb adventure.

Mahindra Scorpio N vs Toyota Fortuner Hill Climb Challenge
The video has been uploaded by Bulu Pattnaik on YouTube. The YouTuber is seen with his friends and family on an off-road trail. In fact, his friend has a Fortuner 4×4 and he has a Scorpio N 4×4. At the start of the trail, the track is quite normal but as one goes up the mountain the track is covered in small pebbles and the surface is quite uneven. But in the end, there is just a huge rock atop the mountain and no road or trail at all. That is where things get interesting.

Firstly, the group guides the Fortuner to reach the top of the hill. Since the surface is quite treacherous, proper guidance and instructions are needed. Following the guidance, the Fortuner is able to make its way to the top quite effortlessly. The driver had put it in 4-Lo mode. Then the group try to do the same with the Scorpio N. Note that the ground clearance of Scorpio N is slightly lower than that of the Fortuner.

Still, it is able to climb to the top without much fuss. After spending some time and doing some rounds atop the mountain, they decide to get down the trodden road as it starts to drizzle a bit. While on their way down, they again guide the SUVs very watchfully. The Fortuner was able to make it down quite comfortably but the Scorpio scratched its rear section a little bit due to a lower ground clearance. But the powertrains and 4×4 systems of both these SUVs highlight their capabilities.
