This video contains a tug of war between Mahindra Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic. These two SUVs have a big age gap even though they share the same name. The Classic model has been in our market for decades. It was only when the Scorpio N arrived that Mahindra decided to call the older model Scorpio Classic. Essentially, both are Scorpios from different times. In this video, we’ll see what both of these SUVs can do in a tug of war competition. So, let’s jump right into it.

Mahindra Scorpio N vs Old Scorpio Classic Tug of War
This post comes from Small Town Rider on YouTube. He makes content around off-roading with prominent SUVs. On this occasion, he has his friends with Thar, Scorpio N and 2 Scorpio Classic SUVs. All these Mahindra SUVs are established off-roaders. The team is at an isolated location. There is rugged slope with sandy surface for this race. Firstly, they tie the two Scorpio Classic SUVs together. They conducted the race in 4×2, 4×4 Hi and 4×4 Lo configurations. Interestingly, none of these was able to pull the other convincingly. Hence, it was a draw.

Thereafter, the host brings the Scorpio N to compete with the old Scorpio. Again, they did the competition in multiple configurations. The most impressive aspect of this race was that no SUV was able to fully pull the other. In any tug of war, if one car pulls away the other car for a considerable distance, it is declared the winner. But in this case, there were no winners. Sure, the SUVs moved a little. But it was all equal. In the final attempt, they even performed a tug of war between the Scorpio and Thar. Again, no one was victorious.

Author’s Note
Recently, YouTubers have been using tug-of-war challenges a lot to see how two vehicles compare in performance. However, this method might not give us helpful insights and could cause lasting damage to the cars involved. Normally, cars don’t undergo such intense acceleration in a straight line during regular use. Therefore, it’s not a good idea to try these tests with your own vehicle, mainly because of safety risks and the potential for mechanical harm. We strongly advise against taking part in such stunts. Tug-of-war competitions don’t give a complete evaluation, as everyday driving rarely involves such aggressive maneuvers. It’s smarter to prioritize your safety and the long-term health of your vehicle.
