The video has been uploaded by Prateek Singh on YouTube. This channel keeps featuring content around the performances of popular cars during unfortunate scenarios and road safety. This time around, a horrific case has emerged from Guwahati, Assam in which 7 college students lost their lives. That is as tragic as it gets. As per the information in the video, the driver of the Scorpio N was overspeeding and had 9 other people in the SUV. For some reason, he lost control and hit the divider. The SUV landed on the other side from where a Bolero was coming.

The impact was so brutal that both vehicles suffered horrific and grave damage. 7 students lost their lives on the spot while the remaining three were transported to the hospital where they are being treated. The 3 other people in the Bolero also suffered injuries and were taken to the hospital. Looking at the damage, it is evident that this is a high-speed crash. Almost every part of the SUV is destroyed. In fact, both cars are in a dilapidated state. The sole reason for that is overspeeding where even the safety equipment is rendered useless.

Overspeeding is the major reason for road accidents in India claiming thousands of lives each year. It is high time we start respecting and following traffic rules. Most of these crashes are avoidable had the drivers been driving below the speed limit. Once you are involved in a high-speed crash, no safety equipment can save you. These features and kits are designed for emergency cases, not to protect you against a blatant display of carelessness. Make sure to encourage people to follow traffic regulations around you. Also, report the people who flout these protocols because they are not only jeopardizing their own safety but also the safety of others.
