Mahindra Scorpio N Test Mule Hit by Tamil Nadu State Transport Bus
As per a mail sent to us by one of our readers, the said test mule of the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N was involved in a T-Bone crash with a State Express Transport Corportation (SETC) bus in Tamil Nadu. Basically, the bus hit the rear door of the SUV. The crash is reported to have taken place at a speed of about 50 kmph. However, the picture we have got here clearly shows that the panel has taken the impact pretty well. Of course, the door has been badly damaged but there seems to be no damage to the B- or C-pillar. What’s even more heartening is that the occupants of the vehicle were totally scratchless.

On the other hand, the state transport bus seems to have sustained a pretty major damage. The LHS front-end of the bus has taken a huge hit, which alone shows the intensity of the impact. However, the new Scorpio seems to have done its job of protecting its occupants pretty well. Already, the expectations are quite high when it comes to the safety rating of the new SUV. With the Thar and the XUV700 acing NCAP tests, it’s only obvious one would expect a top score from Mahindra’s next model. And if the visuals we have here are anything to go by, it looks like the new SUV won’t disappoint at NCAP’s test bed.
