Mahindra Scorpio Classic received massive interest right from the day its bookings opened on the platform. To beat the waiting periods, people are adopting quite extreme measures.
In a shocking piece of news, a Mahindra Scorpio Classic was delivered to the owner for Rs 50,000 extra on Day 1. The owner mentions that the dealership was able to arrange this delivery on an out-of-turn basis which is why Rs 50,000 extra was charged. This is the base S trim of the SUV. The first 25,000 bookings for the Scorpio Classic took a mere 60 seconds and the first 1 lakh bookings came in in just under 30 minutes. That is the reason why people are willing to pay extra to get their hands on one so early on.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic Delivered for Rs 50,000
The video captures the owner of the Scorpio Classic taking his SUV to a popular aftermarket car modification house in Karol Bagh, New Delhi. He mentions that he was willing to spend extra Rs 50,000 to get the delivery on the first day. Also, he bought the base trim so that he could take it to the aftermarket and get the desired modifications done. The only other trim available with the SUV is the top S11 trim which costs around Rs 3.50 lakh more. Therefore, it makes sense to take it outside and spend a portion of that to get the things that you need. The modification house performed a bunch of updates on this SUV.

Modifications to the Base Trim
- The main highlight of this exercise is the starlight that has been installed on the roof of the SUV. It is available in different colours depending on the mood.
- There is also regular ambient lighting installed on the dashboard to give a cool vibe.
- Steering-mounted controls have been incorporated into this base trim which enhance the convenience quotient.
- The upholstery of the Scorpio has been upgraded to brown premium units with added cushioning for couch-level comfort.
- An aftermarket infotainment system with an audio system and speakers have also been installed on the SUV.
- Side steps are attached to the SUV to improve the ingress and egress abilities.
- Aftermarket 20-inch alloy wheels were put on the SUV to render it an imposing appearance.
- Additional armrests have been attached to the front seats and the modifier says that these could be installed for the rear passengers too.
- Fog lamps and headlamps now feature white light.
