People just love the utilitarian aspect associated with a Scorpio. That is the reason for its massive popularity and sales for all these years. Now in its latest iteration, Mahindra has tried to modernise it a little with a few tweaks but owners still opt for a few aftermarket modifications like this.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic with 24-inch Alloy Wheels
The post has been shared by monga_tyres on Instagram. The visuals show a black Scorpio Classic that has been fitted with chunky 24-inch alloys making the SUV look apart in the crowd. Interestingly, this image shows two different kinds of alloys at the front and rear. Perhaps the owner is trying to make up his mind as to which one looks better. At the front, there is a 5-spoke pattern, while at the rear, we witness a 10-spoke alloy painted in white. Irrespective of which one the owner decides, the low-profile tyres will alter the characteristics of the vehicle quite a lot.

While on one hand, these tyres will offer a larger surface area enhancing the cornering ability of the SUV due to increased traction, on the other hand, the thin sidewall will allow the thuds and undulations to enter the cabin. With low-profile tyres, the ride quality is compromised. Also, such oversized alloys will add to the weight of the SUV and the fuel economy is bound to go for a toss. These are some of the downfalls of installing such large alloys on vehicles.
