Mahindra Scorpio S3 now comes with ABS as a safety feature. Let’s see what more the base trim offers!
Mahindra Scorpio is known for its aggressive design and tough ladder chassis which is ready to conquer any roads. It has been one of the many popular SUV’s in the list and is famous in rural as well as urban areas. The value for money, features and a big in size, it is surely a whole lot of combination.
However, not many of the trims offered in Mahindra Scorpio offer the same set of features. The SUV is made available in starting base variant S3 to S5, S7, S9 and S11 being the top-end trim.
Below is the video of a 2019 S3 variant which now gets ABS and hydraulic lift bonnet. This is the base variant offered by Mahindra and it sources its power from the 2.5-litre m2DiCR engine which produces 75bhp of power with 200 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and is available with a choice of 7-seats or 9-seat option. The SUV gets a rear-wheel drive, unlike four-wheel drive which is available only in the higher variants.

It lacks any chrome treatment as seen on the higher variants. Instead, it gets black plastics along with black body cladding all over. It gets conventional headlights with LED tail-lights. This trim misses out on fog lights too. The SUV sits on 15-inch alloy wheel which is devoid of wheel covers. The ORVM’s are also blacked out
Coming to the interiors, the leather upholstery gets a dual tone shade along with all-black centre console. The last row of seats has a twin bench set up while the front and middle row follows the conventional seating arrangement. It also misses out on cup holders safety features such as dual airbags.
