Mahindra sales report stands at 13,507 units in Aug’19 as compared to 19,758 units for Aug’18.
Mahindra & Mahindra depicts a de-growth in sales for the month of August and the report stands at 13,507 units. We also witnessed the sales for the previous year of the same month and the company sold a total of 19,758 units.
That said, the sales report depicts a fall of 32% in the passenger vehicle segment. This segment comprises of KUV100 NXT, XUV300, XUV500, Alturas G4, Thar, Scorpio, Bolero, Marazzo, TUV300 and TUV300 Plus.
Mahindra also deals in electric vehicles and it comprises of eVerito and e20 Plus. They deliver a range of 110 km as claimed by the company. The latter is available for the passenger segment but the eVerito only comprises to government sectors and cab aggregators.

Commenting on the performance, Veejay Ram Nakra, Chief of Sales and Marketing, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd. said, “The auto industry continues to be subdued in the month of August due to several external factors. We are optimistic and hopeful of a good festive season going ahead”.
In the Passenger Vehicles segment (which includes UVs, Cars and Vans), Mahindra sold 13,507 vehicles in August 2019, compared to 19,758 vehicles in August 2018. In the Commercial Vehicles segment, the company sold 14,684 vehicles in August 2019, as against 20,326 vehicles in August 2018.
Surprisingly, in the SUV segment, the Mahindra XUV500 gained the second position after the newly launched MG Hector. The 7-seater SUV garnered over 1100 units while the Tata Harrier stood at a mere 740 units.

In the Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles segment, Mahindra sold 354 vehicles for the month. Exports for August 2019 stood at 2,521 vehicles. The company’s Auto Sector overall sales (Domestic + Exports) stood at 36,085 vehicles in August 2019, compared to 48,324 vehicles during August 2018.
