Mahindra and Mahindra had bought majority stake in Reva electric car company back in May 2010 and renamed it to Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicle Company. This move was a sensible business deal for both Reva and Mahindra. Now to make the most of this deal, Mahindra and Mahindra is working on using the electrical technology developed and used successfully over the years by REVA. Mahindra and Mahindra will use it on its SUVs which it sells in many countries. This will save Mahindra a lot of money which would have otherwise gone into developing the electric propulsion technologies from scratch and will give it a confidence and reliability.
