The Small car segment is already flooded with a bunch of cars offered by every car brand existing in the Indian Auto sector and to add one more car to the segment Mahindra Renault is ready with Sandero. This might add to the confusion as which car to buy but the car could turn out to be good in terms of expectations.
Pawan Goenka, head of Mahindra’s automotive division, stated that their plan is still on the talks and no decision has been taken yet. With the Sandero entering the Indian market Renault will step into the small car segment with nearly no investment and Mahindra which has been dedicated to Utility Vehicle sector will also get a chance to make its position firm in this segment.
The Sandero belongs to the same platform as of Logan which makes the assembling procedure easier and will be manufactured at the Nashik facility. Another fact is the the current network for distribution of Logan will remain the same for the Sandero as well. In February 2005 a joint venture was formed between Mahindra and Renault with a 51:49 partnership and initially fueled the venture with an enormous 700 crores for the Nashik production facility.
Specifications of Mahindra Renault Sandero
The car is a 5-Door Hatchback and will come in 2 different variants one Petrol and one Diesel where the Petrol variant will sport a 1200cc engine while the diesel will be equipped with a more powerful 1500cc engine.
On the interiors the car is a little extra spacious than its foes existing in the same segment with an overall length of 4.02 meters along with 320 liters of boot space.
Price Of Mahindra Renault Sandero In India
The price is expected to be kept between Rs. 3.5 Lakhs to Rs. 5 Lakhs. The official price and variants are not declared as yet. We will update this section as soon as we get some information about it.
