It is interesting to witness how creative people can get with aftermarket car modifications
In this latest instance, a Mahindra Camper pickup was spotted with tank tracks in a desert. For the uninitiated, the Mahindra Camper is one of the most rugged pickups on sale in India. It finds widespread application in the remote corners of the country. People use it to carry luggage, people and perform insane off-tarmac adventures. Therefore, I am not surprised to see it being used as a blank canvas to demonstrate creative customizations. Let us delve into the details of this case.
Mahindra Camper Pickup with Tank Tracks
The specifics of this instance stem from camper_9200 on Instagram. The visuals capture a rather unbelievable event. This Camper owner decided to replace the tyres with tank tracks. Now, I must admit this is the first time I have seen something this ambitious and creative on a pickup truck. The man is seen driving in a desert section on slippery sand. In fact, he is able to do an entire round of the area on these tracks. That is pretty cool to witness.
The reason why this arrangement is so successful is that these tank tracks increase the surface area and enable more grip and traction even on slippery slopes. As a consequence, the vehicle doesn’t sink into the sand but keeps moving on. That is, otherwise, a common issue with regular tyres. In fact, we are able to experience via this video clip that the vehicle is moving freely and confidently without getting bogged down in sand. Even though this is mighty impressive, I wouldn’t suggest it to anyone.
My View
Performing such intense modifications on vehicles can result in long-term damage to the components. That is why we don’t recommend this to anyone. It is high time we take rules and regulations seriously and take care of the health of our vehicles. Hence, we must never imitate what we see online. People create such content for social media engagement. Hence, you should only relish these by viewing them here. I shall keep bringing more such cases for our readers in times to come.
