The Mahindra-built Bujji has been taking the internet by storm as it was spotted alongside a Scorpio N and Toyota Innova. In case you are unaware, Bujji is a special car built specifically for the upcoming move Kalki 2898 AD. The teasers of this movie have created a buzz on the internet as it tries to offer a unique concept. Kalki is supposed to be the last avatar of Lord Vishnu as per Indian holy scriptures. This movie aims to depict a modern tale involving that concept. Admittedly, we are impressed by the special vehicle Bujji. Let us take a look at the details here.
Mahindra Bujji Dwarfs Scorpio N and Innova
This post comes from autojournal_india on Instagram. The visuals capture the ginormous vehicle being driven on what looks like a normal public highway. It measures a whopping 6,075 mm in length, 3,380 mm in width and 2,186 mm in height. The shape of this monstrous automobile seems to have been inspired by some sci-fi movie. In reality, however, the professionals at Mahindra and Jayem Automotive are responsible for creating it. It weighs a whopping 6 tonnes and features two 34.4-inch hubless rims at the front and one at the rear. This arrangement lends it a rather unique appearance and stance.
Apart from that, the Mahindra Bujji bears a 47 kWh battery pack which powers two electric motors. The result is a decent 126 hp and a spine-chilling 9,800 Nm of peak power and torque. To test out the capabilities of the performance of Bujji, it was taken out on the road. There, one truly encapsulates the dimensions and road presence of this thing. It is easily able to tower over large cars like the Scorpio N and Innova. People are clearly in awe of this machine. Prominent actor Naga Chaitanya was seen driving it on the road and was thoroughly impressed by it earlier. He took to social media to express his excitement about this hardcore automobile.
Our View
It is not every day that we witness a vehicle specifically designed for a particular job. In all honesty, it was not a huge trend in India anyway. But with the Bujji, Mahindra has certainly put India on the map. Displaying its engineering prowess, we can even expect more such special vehicles in times to come. Understandably, these will primarily be for the movies. Hence, don’t expect anything like this to go into production. It will be interesting to see how this monstrous vehicle will be used in the movie.
